You do not need a bank card to watch Netflix. A Netflix gift card adds balance to your account, and Netflix uses it to pay your plan each month until it runs out.
Divide the card value by the price of your plan. When the balance runs low, Netflix asks you to add a new card or another payment method.
You cannot redeem from the TV app. Use a browser at netflix.com/redeem.
