"This code is for another region": how to fix it
Why platforms refuse a valid code with a region or country error, and what you can do next.
A region error means the code is valid, but it belongs to a different country store than your account. PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Apple and Google Play check this strictly.
What to check
- Look at the region of the card you bought (in your JR order).
- Check the country of the account where you tried to redeem it.
- If they are different, the code will not work on that account.
Your options
- Redeem it on another account that matches the card's region, if you have one.
- Give the code to a friend with an account in that region, if the code has not been used.
- Contact JR support before trying again. Do not post the code online.
