How to pay for Xbox Game Pass with an Xbox gift card
Add the card to your Microsoft account, then use the balance for Game Pass.
An Xbox gift card adds money to your Microsoft account. That balance can pay for Game Pass, games and add-ons on Xbox and on Windows PC.
- Go to microsoft.com/redeem, sign in and enter the 25-character code.
- Open the Game Pass page on your console or on xbox.com.
- Choose your plan. At checkout, pick your Microsoft account balance as the payment method.
Things to know
- The card country must match your Microsoft account country.
- If the balance does not cover the full price, the rest is charged to another payment method, if you have one.
- Check your balance at account.microsoft.com, under Payment options.
Recurring billing uses your balance first. Keep enough balance before renewal, or turn recurring billing off in your Microsoft account.
