Steam gift card USA, UK or EU: which one to buy?

How Steam regions and currencies work, how to find yours, and which card to buy.

We sell Steam cards for several regions: USA (USD), UK (GBP), Europe (EUR), Canada (CAD), Saudi Arabia (SAR) and the UAE (AED). The right one is the card in the same currency as your Steam account.

How to find your Steam currency

1. Open the Steam store while signed in.
2. Look at any game price. The symbol shows your currency: $, £, €, CAD, SAR or AED.
3. You can also open Account details. Your wallet balance is shown in your currency.

Why the region matters

Steam sets your currency from the country where you use your account. Prices, wallet balance and gift cards all follow that currency. A card in the same currency always adds the exact value printed on it.

Common situations

• You live in Saudi Arabia and your store shows SAR: choose the SA card.
• You live in the UAE and prices are in AED: choose the AE card.
• You live in a euro country: choose the EU card.
• Your store shows US dollars: choose the US card.

Do not try to change your Steam country to use a cheaper card. Steam limits country changes and can restrict accounts that misuse them.
